Building a New Home?
Before submitting your Development Application, a BASIX/NatHERS Certificate is required to confirm that your design meets the state’s sustainability standards. At Green Certify we simplify the process with fast turnaround times, competitive pricing and expert guidance at every stage. We partner with builders, developers and owner-builders to provide accurate, fully compliant BASIX reports—ensuring your new home meets Government requirements for energy, water and thermal performance.
Why a BASIX/NatHERS Certificate is Required?
All new homes require a BASIX/NatHERS Certificate to ensure reduced potable water usage and lower greenhouse gas emissions. This not only helps homeowners save on utility bills but also supports a more sustainable future. Our assessments evaluate key aspects of your proposed design, including water fixtures, insulation, heating and cooling systems and overall energy efficiency.
About BASIX Certificate
A BASIX Certificate (Building Sustainability Index) is required in New South Wales for development applications. It confirms that a home or project meets sustainability standards by using less potable water and producing fewer greenhouse gas emissions. The certificate is issued after completing an online BASIX assessment, which evaluates water usage, energy efficiency and thermal comfort. Once all targets are met the certificate can be issued.
